Dr Kensuke Hotta (PhD, Msc, MEng)
Tokyo-based Computational Architect (CA), an engineer who uses computers and algorithms to design and support design. He obtained a degree from the newly established PhD course in architectural design at the Architectural Association. He then moved to Japan, where he founded and incorporated his own profession as a CA. He specialises in generative design and human-computer interaction. He works on various designs, including architecture, as well as project planning and drafting. His favourite food is snow crab.

堀田憲祐博士（博士、理学修士、工学修士）
東京を基点に活動するコンピュテーショナル・アーキテクト（CA）。CAとは、計算機やアルゴリズムを使って設計や、設計支援を行う技術者のこと。英国建築家協会建築学校で新設された、建築設計学博士コースではじめて学位を取得。のちに日本にわたりCAという職業を興した。特に、ジェネレーティブデザインとヒューマンコンピュータインタラクションを専門とする。建築をはじめとして様々なデザインに取り組んでいるほか、プロジェクトの企画、立案なども手掛ける。好きな食べ物はズワイガニ。

• EDUCATION; He finished Engineering training at Japan, and learned computation and programming at London. Then got PhD by architectural design empowered computation in the UK in 2013.

• PRACTICE; He has worked for several architectural design firms in practice and continues to work for several major firms. He also runs his own companies, POLLC and HQLLC.

• ACADEMIA; He has worked as a researcher at the University of Tokyo and Keio University, and is currently a senior researcher at Keio University.

• 教育；日本国で工学を修了、英国でコンピュータ科学を学び、コンピュータを援用した建築設計において博士を取得。

• 実務； 日本にて組織建築設計事務所で実務を経験し、起業、POLLCとHQLLCで技術顧問を務める。

• 学術;；AAスクール、東京大学、慶應義塾大学で、非常勤講師、研究員や特任助教を経て、現在、慶應義塾大学上席研究員。授業や講演は散発的に行っている。
